TransLucid and Cartesian Programming

How to use TransLucid at CSE@UNSW

For the Web-enabled TransLucid interpreter, just run translucid.web.cse.unsw.edu.au/tlweb.

For the textual TransLucid interpreter running on the CSE school machines, you will have to run the following commands (assuming a Bourne shell) to add the correct directories to your path variables.

export PATH=/home/translucid/soft/install/bin:$PATH
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/translucid/soft/install/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
You can then run the interpreter by typing tltext.

The documentation for tltext is in TL-doc-0.3.0.pdf.

These directories provide access not just to the TransLucid interpreter, but also to the latest versions of the entire GNU build chain. Specifically, the following packages are installed there.

autoconf2.69
automake1.13.1
boost1_53_0
bzip21.0.6
gcc4.8.0
gettext0.18.2
gmp5.1.1
icu4c51_1
libtool2.4.2
m41.14.16
make3.82
mpc1.0.1
mpfr3.1.2
openmpi1.6.4
pkg-config  0.28
tar1.26
xz5.0.4

It is possible that adding these directories to your paths may affect the running of some other programs. Caveat emptor!
